Every drive we erase produces a signed certificate carrying the serial number, the standard applied, the number of passes, the operator, the timestamps and the result of the post-wipe verification. Assets Leave Without a Record

A collection note proves a box was picked up. It does not prove the drive inside it was erased. When a regulator asks, a collection note is not an answer.

SSDs Wiped the Wrong Way

Multi-pass overwriting was designed for spinning platters. On flash it leaves data in over-provisioned blocks the operating system cannot address. The drive reports success; the data is still there.

The same five steps run whether it is one laptop or a floor of them. The decision at the end is the only part that changes.

    Identify

    Every drive in the machine is found and read first, including the ones the operating system never mounted.

    Erase

    The standard your policy names, applied by whatever command that medium actually implements.

    Verify

    A second pass reads the medium back. A drive that will not verify is failed, not quietly passed.

    Report

    A signed certificate per drive, carrying the serial, the method, the timestamps and the operator.

    Reuse, Recycle or Destroy

    Redeploy it, sell it, or send it for destruction. Whichever it is, the evidence went first.

Erase Where the Assets Already Are

Boot from USB on a single machine, or from PXE across a whole floor. There is no agent to deploy, no operating system needed on the target, and no dependency on your network reaching the internet. Air-gapped environments run the same software with the same certificates.

Collect and Tag

Assets are logged against your existing asset tags, so the certificate matches your CMDB rather than a separate list.

Erase and Verify

Pick the standard your policy requires. Up to eight drives run at once per machine. Every drive is read back afterwards and checked against what the wipe claimed to write.

Certify and Report

A signed PDF per drive, plus a summary report for the batch. Failed drives are flagged for destruction, never passed silently.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this work without an internet connection?

Yes. Licences can be activated offline and the software runs entirely on your own network. Certificates are generated and stored locally. This is how most government and defence deployments run.

Can we match certificates to our asset management system?

Yes. Asset tag and custom fields are captured at erasure time and appear on the certificate, so records line up with your CMDB or ITAM tool without manual reconciliation.

What happens to a drive that fails erasure?

It is marked as failed on the report and excluded from the pass list. A drive that cannot be verifiably erased should be physically destroyed, and the report tells you exactly which ones those are.

How many machines can one operator handle?

One machine runs up to eight drives at once, set from the Concurrent Sanitization Limit. The bigger multiplier is booting over the network: one operator starts erasure across a whole floor of workstations from a single console.
